AdSense online course intro
This is free online AdSense course. Some information is omitted and available in paid version for only 29.95$. I do not dicuss simple stuff like opening account or inserting code. Here you'll find only useful and relevant information about making money from this program.

Before we’ll start long story about Google AdSense, let’s have a look at another many making systems. Such are: Amazon associates program, Comission Junction, Linkshare, Performics, Click Bank, CafePress. These and many other programs are so-called affiliate programs, or programs, set up by someone willing to pay you if you find a purchasing customer for him. There are difference how they share profit with you, sign-up fees, etc. But the main point here is market potential.
Or, simply saying, when traffic equals customers. There is no doubt now that Google is internet leader, with approximately 50% market share in all searches made in North America (include also AOL, Earthlink, Go, Netscape, and many others).
Let’s take a look how its AdSense differs from affiliate programs:

So, What is Google Adsense?

AdSense is an extension of the AdWords program that allows any website owner to place AdWords ads on their site. However, the difference in this system lies in the fact that the ads displayed come not from search phrases, but from the content of your site.
As an AdSense user, Google gives you a piece of JavaScript that has your unique id embedded within it. This enables them to track the performance of the ads on your site. You simply paste this code into the html of your website. Then, when someone views your site, the JavaScript automatically fetches ads from the Google server and places them on your page. Google does this with its advanced content recognition technology. Afterwards, if someone clicks on one of your ads, Google charges the advertiser.
AdSense always delivers relevant ads that are precisely targeted—on a page-by-page basis—to the content that people find on your site. For example, if you have a page that tells the story of your pet fish, Google will send you ads for that site that are for pet stores, fish food, fish bowls, aquariums…you get the picture. If you decide you want to add a Google search box to your site, then AdSense will deliver relevant ads targeted to the Google search results pages that your visitors’ search request generated.
Google then takes a cut of the money and gives the rest to you. Although Google do not disclose payout ratio, it is rumored that they take 32% and you get 68%. People speculate all the time on user boards as to why Google refuses to publish its commission rates, but no one has the answer. It might have something to do with legal reasons or it could just be that Google wants to retain the ability to change rates without having to send out an announcement about it each time, which costs money.
As an example, a site about student loan consolidation can make some serious bucks on AdSense because of the high level of competition for related keywords. The CPC (cost per click) is the amount you get paid every time a user clicks on one of those ad banners. CPC rates for competitive keywords can be more than $1, which translates directly to your site’s earning potential within the program. However, if you’re in a less competitive market, you’ll make less money—that’s just a fact of life. Still, it’s unusual to see anyone using Google AdSense report earnings of less than an effective $1 CPM (cost per 1000 impressions), and the average runs in the range of $4-$5 CPM. Some people are making an effective CPM of $15 or more with AdSense.

Google AdSense is also a way for site owners to provide Google search capability to visitors and to earn even more money by putting Google ads on the search results pages. Google AdSense gives you the ability to earn advertising revenue from every single page on your website—with a minimal investment of your time
So, because the Google AdSense ads relate to what your visitors came to your site to read about, or because the ads match up to the interests and characteristics of the kind of people your content attracts, you now have a way to improve your content pages AND make some serious bucks off of them.
Google has no strict criteria for acceptance into the AdSense program, and AdSense doesn’t hit you with a minimum traffic requirement. The only criteria they’re really sticky about is the standard “acceptable content” requirements, and that’s pretty standard almost anywhere. If you can create an idea that generates a decent amount of syndication and attracts a few good links you may be able to make money selling text link ads.
Google AdSense says they’re serious about attracting quality content sites, and because of that they only allow AdSense members to serve one ad per page. This means you can’t use AdSense for both banners and skyscrapers.(Note: banners are those horizontal ads that run up top and down bottom. Skyscrapers are the tall ads that run vertically, on the left and right of your page text.)
Once you’ve been accepted into Google AdSense, you’ll be able to get the AdSense advertisements on any site you own using the same ad code, provided you obey the Google guidelines. (And that’s very, very important—more on that later.)

Making serious money in internet.

99% of AdSense users make next to nothing. They stick the code onto their website and sit back. When the money doesn't appear they think the system is useless. So, let’s have a look at key-points of AdSense money making. We’ll review them in details later.
    1. Creating a content rich, topical site within selected niche market. The site content is to be filled with high paying keywords.
    2. Search engine optimization and inbound linking to build a high and constant traffic flow to site.
    3. Placing the AdSense code into site. This requires certain techniques that make the ads look more attractive.
This strategy, coupled with careful tracking of ad performance, will guarantee that you are making serious amounts of money with Google AdSense.
